Frequently Asked Questions
Q Keyboard shortcuts and gestures aren't working.
Open System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility and make sure Retro Launch is listed and enabled. You may need to remove and re-add it after an update.
Q F4 alone doesn't work, only Fn+F4.
On macOS Tahoe, the F4 key is reserved by the system. Fn+F4 is the supported shortcut, or you can set a custom shortcut in Settings.
Q How do I create a folder?
Drag one app icon onto another. The folder will be created automatically and you can rename it immediately.
Q How do I remove an app from a folder?
Open the folder and hover over the app — a remove button will appear. The app will return to the main grid.
Q Can I rearrange apps?
Set the sort order to "Custom" using the sort button (next to the search bar), then drag apps to reorder them.
Q How do I delete an app?
Long-press anywhere to enter wiggle mode, then tap the X on the app. Only App Store apps can be deleted this way.
Q My layout got messed up. Can I reset it?
Open Settings and use "Reset Layout" to restore the default alphabetical layout.
Q Can I back up my layout?
Yes. Open Settings and use "Export Layout" to save a JSON file. Use "Import Layout" to restore it.
